As a photographer I have thousands of images and Healing Imagery is very simple. It’s visualization of something good in your life and it could be yesterday or 10 years ago. It can make you smile, calm yourself, relieves stress and also help the healing process.
It can take your mind off the infusion process for chemo, dialysis and help Alzheimer’s patients and many more. And so I have created Healing Imagery Frames with 200 calming photos of mine and 14 tracks of calming music that I have purchased the rights to. Hospital Cancer Centers are purchasing them and using them as pilots in their cancer infusion centers.
New Milford Hospital Cancer Center has a pilot underway and the same for St. Francis Hospital Cancer Center in Hartford and they are rotating the Healing Frames around the Hospital to select the best areas for their use. The bedside cancer nurses commented that “this has been something we have been waiting on for a very long time” and “how simple yet so powerful”. They also take blood pressure and pulse before and after the patients view the images and the great news is that the numbers go down!
I have also been asked by individual families who request family photos be added to the images on my frame and then it becomes even more personal.
